Christmas is coming...

Whether we want to admit it or not Christmas is just around the corner and this mean it's time to get your craft on! I have so many things I want to make for people but not sure whether I'm going to have time!  Here are some ideas for great gifts this year and the best part is all the patterns are FREE !: Christmas Coasters   These are adorable and great to use for festivities and will add something a bit different to your dining table. Rudolph Ornament I love love love this! Such a cute face! Great to hang on the tree and different to the traditional ornaments that are hung. The Child Ornament Officially known as The Child from the Mandalorian TV series, or Baby Yoda to most of the world this is a must have gift for anyone that is a fan of the TV series. P.S. I'll be gifting myself this. Candy cane gift holder These are an amazing idea and can be used for anything that is lip balm size. A lip balm isn't the most exciting gift but this really makes it that more special

First Project!

So here it is! Two thirds into my first big project. This is such an easy pattern to follow and love the texture the half treble crochet makes. The pattern I'm following is from this amazing book I found. It really is a little course and gives you little projects to complete with each stitch you learn. I brought mine from a WH Smith store but it is also available on Amazon. It cost £9.99 which I think is great value and will be a great reference book once I've advanced my skills. This is what the final garment should look like. I'm super excited to get it finished and to share with you the final result! Also be sure to check out Instagram!

I started crafting when I was very young with my Nan who would let me help her make cards. As I grew older I had the chance to take Textiles (needle work as it was once known) at school and fell in love with using material to make things. I made a pillow case as well as a quilt and this was the start of many years of wanting to make gifts for people.  The love for cross-stitch however came from my mum. For as long as I can remember she's been doing cross-stitch projects and giving them away as gifts. For many it is tedious and repetitive but I find it soooo relaxing to do. Now ont
